Eddie LaRazza
This is going to serve as a comparison between my Xazolun Drunken Master done in 3.5 vs 5e. For fairness, let’s assume the wish-altered feature Drink like an Efreet is not included in either side. What will not be included is the Un-graduated forms of Improvised Weapon. Eddie had Superior Imp. W. so I will not mention the lesser versions.

Harsh Realities:
One level of Sorcerer in 3.5 is enough to have Enlarge Person, which was Eddie’s sole purpose in taking Sorcerer. To do the same in 5e requires Three Levels because that shiny spell is a Level 2 spell now.
Even if you count Tipsy Sway as two benefits, 3.5 offers double the extras 5e has.
5e’s Drunken Master could still to everything the class offers stone cold sober.
3.5 Drunken Master doesn’t include the ability to do his own brewing.
